Although the U.S. has declared its intent to eliminate the Houthis, it faces significant obstacles due to the group's military capabilities and strategic geographical advantages.

On March 19, President Donald Trump stated that the Houthis had suffered heavy losses from intense U.S. airstrikes. He asserted, “This is not even a fair fight. The Houthis will be completely wiped out.”

However, in reality, the group remains resilient and continues to retaliate. Within 72 hours, the Houthis launched four attacks on the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its escort fleet in the Red Sea.

Moreover, U.S. airstrikes have resulted in at least 53 civilian deaths, including children, on the first day alone, further increasing local support for the Houthis. According to Elisabeth Kendall, a researcher at the University of Cambridge, “Their fighters are incredibly tenacious.”

The Rise of the Houthis and Challenges for the U.S.

Originally a Shiite armed movement in Yemen, the Houthis emerged in the early 2000s to oppose former President Ali Abdullah Saleh. In 2014, they seized the capital, Sanaa, overthrowing the internationally recognized government of Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, prompting a Saudi-led coalition intervention in 2015.

Since then, over 25,000 airstrikes have been carried out against the Houthis, yet the group still controls large parts of Yemen and has inflicted heavy damage on the coalition.

After the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted in October 2023, the Houthis began targeting cargo and military ships linked to the U.S. and Israel in the Red Sea. By January 2024, they had attacked more than 100 vessels, sinking two and causing casualties.

Formidable Military Capabilities

The Houthis receive significant external support, particularly from Iran and Hezbollah. According to the United Nations, the group expanded its forces from 220,000 fighters in 2022 to 350,000 by mid-2024.

Their arsenal includes ballistic missiles and attack drones with a range exceeding 2,000 km. On December 21, 2024, the Houthis claimed to have launched a hypersonic Palestine-2 missile at Tel Aviv, penetrating Israel’s multi-layered air defense system.

Alex Plitsas, an analyst at the Atlantic Council, noted that locating and destroying Houthi weaponry is extremely difficult due to their strategic dispersal across Yemen’s rugged terrain.

U.S. Faces Limited Intervention Options

While the U.S. has intensified sanctions and airstrikes against the Houthis and their allies, eliminating the group remains a daunting challenge. Yemen is more than 500 times the size of Gaza and 20 times larger than Lebanon, making a ground intervention nearly impossible.

According to expert Maged al-Madhaji, the most effective strategy to weaken the Houthis is to cut off their financial and military supply lines in the Red Sea. However, as Fabian Hinz from the IISS warns, “Aerial bombardment alone will not pose an existential threat to the Houthis.”

The U.S. has not yet disclosed detailed specifications of the F-47 but claims it surpasses the F-22 in many aspects.

On March 21, President Donald Trump announced that Boeing had been awarded the contract to develop the next-generation air dominance (NGAD) fighter. The F-47 is expected to gradually replace the F-22, a stealth fighter that has been in service for over 20 years. Although specific details of the F-47 remain undisclosed, U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff David Allvin confirmed that it would be the world's first manned sixth-generation fighter jet. The aircraft will feature advanced stealth technology, integrated sensors, and long-range strike capabilities to counter sophisticated threats.

Graphics released by the U.S. Air Force depict the F-47 with a distinctive design compared to the F-22 and F-35. The aircraft has a flat, angular fuselage—common characteristics of stealth fighters—but includes forward canards on both sides of the cockpit. Both the canards and main wings are angled upward rather than lying on the same plane as the F-22.

"The F-47 has a significantly greater range than the F-22," General Allvin stated, though he did not provide exact figures. In contrast, the F-22 can reach a maximum range of nearly 3,000 km with external fuel tanks, while its combat radius without additional fuel is approximately 1,100 km at subsonic speeds.

NGAD technologies have been tested over the past five years, and General Allvin confirmed that the F-47 will take flight during Trump's presidency. This means Boeing and the U.S. Air Force have less than four years to bring the project to reality.

President Trump declined to disclose the contract value or delivery timeline, but U.S. media estimates place the deal at a minimum of $20 billion, excluding potential future orders worth hundreds of billions.

In 2024, the NGAD program was temporarily halted due to cost concerns. It is one of the most expensive research and development projects in the U.S. Air Force budget. However, General Allvin assured that the F-47 would be more cost-effective, mass-produced, and better suited to future threats.

The U.S. Air Force aims to acquire between 220 and 250 aircraft under the NGAD program. In 2018, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that each aircraft could cost around $300 million, though the current figure may be significantly higher.

For comparison, Lockheed produced prototypes of the YF-22 between 1989 and 1990 before winning the Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) competition in 1991. Lockheed then took six years to complete the first full-fledged F-22 flight, and the aircraft did not enter service until 2005—more than 14 years after being selected in the ATF program.

Initially, the U.S. Air Force planned to purchase 750 F-22s, but the number was reduced to 381 and eventually to just 195 aircraft built between 1995 and 2011. This total included eight test units and 187 combat-ready fighters.

Each F-22 had a production cost of $140 million, excluding expenses for research, infrastructure, and maintenance. When factoring in these additional costs, the price per unit rose to approximately $350 million.

Currently, the U.S. operates 183 F-22s, but only 125 are combat-ready. A 2023 Pentagon report revealed that only 52% of F-22s were mission-ready at any given time. According to General Allvin, the F-47 will have a higher operational readiness rate and will be easier to maintain than the F-22.

The F-47 is expected to feature "high adaptability," likely due to digital engineering and an open-systems architecture, allowing for frequent updates to software, sensors, and auxiliary equipment to meet specific combat scenarios.

The U.S. Air Force has not explained why Boeing was chosen over Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-22 and F-35.

Boeing has faced numerous issues with its military aircraft programs, including the KC-46 tanker, T-7 trainer jet, and VC-25B Air Force One, leading to nearly $10 billion in cost overruns. Its commercial aircraft have also experienced multiple safety and quality concerns in recent years.

Lockheed Martin has similarly struggled with cost overruns and delays in the F-35 program. The company expressed disappointment over Boeing winning the F-47 contract and stated that it would "continue discussions with the U.S. Air Force."

Once upon a time, there was a young scholar named Nghiêm Đắc Lộc. Though he had reached the age of independence, he still lived alone in a humble cottage. He believed that he was kind-hearted and always did the right thing, so he should have been blessed with fortune. Yet, fate seemed to keep him in poverty, leaving him perplexed.

One day, a Feng Shui master named Mạnh passed through the village. Having heard of his reputation, Nghiêm Đắc Lộc immediately invited him in, hoping the master could explain his misfortunes. After surveying the house, Master Mạnh said, “Your destiny is not bad, but merely waiting will not make you wealthy.” Observing the back of the house, he added, “The Feng Shui is fine, but your fortune is blocked, which is why you remain poor.”

Hearing this, Nghiêm Đắc Lộc anxiously asked, “Is there a way to change my fate, master?”

Master Mạnh stroked his beard thoughtfully and advised, “There is a method, but you must persist for three years without wavering. Carve a window into the back wall of your house and wake up every day at the fourth watch to light a lamp. When villagers pass by and ask, ‘Nghiêm Đắc Lộc, are you awake?’ you must reply, ‘I am awake!’ Since your name contains ‘Đắc Lộc’ (which means ‘gaining fortune’), repeating it daily will summon prosperity. But remember, if you give up, you will lose this one and only chance.”

Nghiêm Đắc Lộc took these words to heart and followed them faithfully. Every day, he woke up before dawn, lit his lamp, and waited for villagers to call his name. Over time, he realized that simply waiting was meaningless, so he began seeking work. At first, he wove ropes, then he ground soybeans to sell, and later, he raised chickens and ducks. His efforts flourished—he not only had enough to eat but even built savings. Eventually, he married and had children. After three years, his once shabby cottage had transformed into a sturdy tile-roofed house, and his life had completely changed.

At this moment, Master Mạnh returned for a visit. Seeing the prosperous scene, he smiled and asked, “Tell me, what have you done these past three years?”

Nghiêm Đắc Lộc happily recounted, “At first, I simply did as you instructed—waking early and lighting the lamp so villagers would call my name. But after a while, I realized I needed to do something more. I started working, little by little, and gradually expanded my efforts. Now, my family lacks nothing. I am truly grateful to you, master!”

Master Mạnh laughed heartily and shook his head. “You still don’t understand, do you? If you had only lit the lamp without taking action, would wealth have come to you? It was your diligence, determination, and self-reliance that led to your success. It wasn’t Feng Shui—it was the law of cause and effect that changed your fate!”

Upon hearing this, Nghiêm Đắc Lộc suddenly awakened to the truth. All this time, he had believed that Feng Shui had brought him wealth, but in reality, it was the result of his own tireless efforts.

In truth, a person’s destiny does not lie in the land they inhabit, nor in luck, but in their own hands. If one only waits for fate and does not cultivate virtue, work diligently, and act with kindness, even living in a so-called auspicious land will not bring lasting prosperity. Those who are virtuous will thrive anywhere, while those who neglect to accumulate good deeds will struggle even in places of great fortune.

Many believe in Feng Shui, but few understand that one’s character, perseverance, and heart are the true foundations of fortune. Master Mạnh did not state this outright because people often resist harsh truths. Had he bluntly said, “You are poor because you are lazy,” Nghiêm Đắc Lộc might have rejected his words. Lao Tzu once said, “Beautiful words are not true, and true words are not beautiful.” Sometimes, people must experience something themselves before they can truly grasp its wisdom.

And that wisdom is this: There is no predetermined fate—only cause and effect.

Trump's Bold Move: Dismantling the US Department of Education – Controversy Unleashed!
Former President Donald Trump is fully aware that he cannot dismantle the Department of Education without congressional approval. However, by drastically cutting staff and rendering it ineffective, he could achieve a similarly destructive outcome, according to U.S. Senator Patty Murray.
PUSHING FOR ELIMINATIONOn Thursday, Trump reiterated his intention to completely shut down the department. He also implied that Education Secretary Linda McMahon, who was present at the White House gathering, should essentially eliminate her own role.
The Department of Education supervises approximately 100,000 public schools and 34,000 private institutions across the United States. Despite this, over 85% of public school funding is sourced from state and local governments. The department provides financial assistance for underfunded schools, including grants for special education teachers, arts initiatives, and infrastructure improvements.
Additionally, the department manages $1.6 trillion in student loans held by millions of Americans who cannot afford college tuition outright.
For now, Trump’s executive order seeks to drastically reduce the department's functions, limiting it to overseeing student loans, Pell Grants for low-income students, and resources for special needs education.
“We’re shutting it down, and we’re doing it fast,” Trump declared. “It’s not benefiting us.”
Even with Republican control in both chambers of Congress, a complete shutdown would require Democratic support to secure the necessary 60 Senate votes. At the White House event, Trump acknowledged that the matter might ultimately require a congressional vote to decide the department’s fate.
Trump has admitted that gaining approval from Democratic lawmakers and teachers' unions is essential to fulfilling his campaign promise of dissolving the department—an outcome that appears highly unlikely.
“See you in court,” Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, responded in a statement.
Most Americans oppose closing the department. A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted last month found that 65% of respondents disapproved of eliminating it, compared to just 30% in favor. The poll, conducted online with a nationwide sample of 4,145 U.S. adults, had a margin of error of approximately two percentage points.
Federal education funding is distributed unevenly across the political spectrum. Republican-leaning states receive a greater share, with federal aid comprising 15% of K-12 school funding in states that supported Trump in the 2024 election, compared to 11% in states that voted for Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, according to a Reuters analysis of Census Bureau data.
Two of the department’s largest programs—assistance for low-income schools and funding for special education—would be among the most affected by its dissolution.

The Spider in the Guanyin Temple

In front of the Guanyin Temple, countless people came daily to burn incense and worship Buddha, filling the air with thick smoke. A spider spun its web on the temple’s beam, enveloped every day in the fragrant smoke and the prayers of the devotees. Over time, it developed a spiritual connection to Buddhism. After a thousand years of cultivation, the spider attained wisdom.

One day, the Buddha happened to visit the temple. He was pleased to see the temple filled with incense smoke. As he was leaving, he casually looked up and saw the spider on the beam.

The Buddha paused and asked the spider, “It seems we are destined to meet. Let me ask you a question to see if your thousand years of cultivation have granted you true wisdom. Will you answer?”

The spider was overjoyed to see the Buddha and eagerly agreed.

The Buddha asked, “What is the most precious thing in this world?”

The spider pondered for a while and then replied, “The most precious things in the world are what one cannot obtain and what has been lost.”

The Buddha nodded and left.

Another thousand years passed. The spider remained on the temple beam, continuing its cultivation, and its spiritual understanding deepened.

One day, the Buddha returned and asked, “Do you remember the question I asked you a thousand years ago? Have you gained a deeper understanding of it?”

The spider responded, “I still believe the most precious things in this world are what one cannot obtain and what has been lost.”

The Buddha said, “Keep thinking. I will return again.”

Yet another thousand years passed. One day, a strong wind blew a dewdrop onto the spider’s web. The dewdrop was crystal clear, shimmering beautifully in the sunlight. The spider found itself deeply captivated by its beauty. Each day, looking at the dewdrop brought it joy—it was the happiest it had been in three thousand years.

But suddenly, the wind rose again and carried the dewdrop away. The spider was overcome with a sense of loss, loneliness, and pain.

At that moment, the Buddha arrived and asked, “Spider, another thousand years have passed. Have you reconsidered? What is the most precious thing in this world?”

The spider thought about the dewdrop and replied, “The most precious things in this world are what one cannot obtain and what has been lost.”

The Buddha smiled and said, “Very well. Since you have reached this realization, I will grant you a human life.”

Thus, the spider was reincarnated into a prestigious family as a noble young lady named Zhou Ni.

In the blink of an eye, Zhou Ni grew into a graceful and beautiful sixteen-year-old. That year, a scholar named Cam Loc won the imperial examination, and the emperor hosted a grand banquet in celebration. Many noblewomen attended, including Zhou Ni and Princess Truong Phong.

Cam Loc displayed his literary talent at the banquet, impressing all the young ladies. But Zhou Ni remained calm and untroubled because she believed he was the destined one sent to her by the Buddha.

A few days later, by chance, Zhou Ni accompanied her mother to the temple to worship. At the same time, Cam Loc also visited with his mother. After offering incense, their mothers engaged in conversation, while Zhou Ni and Cam Loc strolled through the temple corridors. Zhou Ni was delighted to finally be close to the man she loved, yet Cam Loc seemed distant and polite.

Zhou Ni asked, “Do you remember what happened sixteen years ago—the spider on the beam of the Guanyin Temple?”

Cam Loc was startled and replied, “Miss Zhou Ni, you are beautiful and admired by many. Perhaps your imagination is too vivid.” Then he left with his mother.

Zhou Ni was heartbroken. If the Buddha had arranged this destined encounter, why had he not allowed Cam Loc to remember? Why did Cam Loc show no affection for her?

A few days later, the emperor issued a decree: Cam Loc was to marry Princess Truong Phong, while Zhou Ni was to be betrothed to Crown Prince Chi Thu. The news struck like thunder from a clear sky. Zhou Ni could not understand why the Buddha had been so cruel to her.

Devastated, she stopped eating and lay in despair. After a few days, her soul began to drift away from her body, and her life hung by a thread.

Hearing of her condition, Crown Prince Chi Thu rushed to her side and knelt beside her bed. He said, “At the banquet in the imperial garden, the moment I saw you, I fell in love. I begged my father to grant me your hand in marriage. If you die, what is the point of my life?” Saying this, he drew his sword, ready to take his own life.

At that moment, the Buddha appeared. He spoke to Zhou Ni’s departing soul, “Spider, have you ever considered who brought that dewdrop (Cam Loc) to you? It was the wind (Truong Phong). The wind brought it, and the wind took it away. Cam Loc belongs to Princess Truong Phong—he was only a fleeting part of your life.

But Crown Prince Chi Thu is the little tree in front of the Guanyin Temple. He watched you for three thousand years, loved you for three thousand years, yet you never once looked down at him. Spider, let me ask you one last time: What is the most precious thing in this world?”

Realizing the truth, Zhou Ni awakened and said to the Buddha:

“The most precious thing in this world is not what one cannot obtain or what has been lost, but the happiness that one holds in the present.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the Buddha disappeared. Zhou Ni’s soul returned to her body, and she opened her eyes. Seeing Crown Prince Chi Thu about to take his own life, she quickly reached out and stopped him…

“The most precious thing in this world is not what one cannot obtain or what has been lost, but the happiness that one holds in the present.”

Throughout life, we will meet thousands of people.

To love someone does not require effort—only fate is needed.

But to continue loving someone requires effort.

Love is like a thread connecting two people. If one pulls too hard or lets go, the love will either become strained or fall slack.

When searching for the person on the other end of the thread, consider carefully. Are you holding too many threads? Are you constantly searching for something new? Or has a past heartbreak made you lose the courage to seek love again?

Regardless of the situation, when a thread breaks, you only lose someone who does not love you.

But they lose someone who truly loved them.

Losing someone who never cherished you—why should that be sorrowful?

Because you still have the chance to meet someone who sees your worth.

The Law of Cause and Effect

I. Definition:

  • "Cause" is the primary factor that generates an outcome.
  • "Condition" is the supporting factor that allows the cause to bring forth an effect.
  • Everything in the universe arises due to the interplay of causes and conditions. When these factors dissipate, the phenomena cease to exist.

II. Example:

  • A bean is the cause. For it to sprout, it requires conditions like soil, water, air, and sunlight. When these elements come together, the bean grows, flowers, and bears fruit.

III. Understanding Cause and Effect:

  1. All things arise from causes and conditions, not by chance.
  2. The nature of an outcome depends on the conditions present.
  3. When the necessary conditions are absent, an outcome cannot manifest.

IV. Application:

  • Understanding cause and effect helps us navigate life wisely.
  • It teaches us that good or bad outcomes arise from our own actions.
  • By cultivating good causes and conditions, we shape a life of peace and fulfillment.

SAN JOSE, California, March 19 (Reuters) - Nvidia (NVDA.O) CEO Jensen Huang predicts that humanoid robots will be widely integrated into production lines in less than five years.

Humanoid robot era is nearer than expected.

On Tuesday, Huang delivered a keynote speech to a full hockey arena during the nearly $3 trillion company's annual developer conference in San Jose, California. Speaking with reporters afterward, he was asked what indicators would prove AI's complete integration into daily life.

Among his responses, Huang noted that a major sign would be "when humanoid robots are actively moving around, and that’s not five years away. This is a near-future reality, not a distant one."

He explained that factories would likely be the first to implement these robots due to their structured tasks and controlled settings.

"I believe they will enter manufacturing facilities first. The reason is that the environment is more structured, and the applications are clearly defined," Huang said. "The economic benefits are evident. Renting a humanoid robot could cost around $100,000, which makes solid financial sense."

The Social Security numbers and other confidential details of over 200 former congressional staffers and others were publicly exposed on Tuesday in unredacted records connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, according to an analysis by The Washington Post.

“This is absolutely unacceptable. It’s careless and unprofessional,” said former Trump campaign attorney Joseph diGenova, 80, whose private data was included in the leak.

“This isn’t just about identity theft—I’ve received threats before,” added diGenova, a well-known figure in Republican legal circles who has strongly supported President Donald Trump and frequently criticized Trump’s opponents on television. “I’ve had to report serious threats to the FBI in the past. There are dangerous people out there.”

Over 60,000 pages tied to Kennedy’s 1963 assassination were released this week by the Trump administration. Some of these documents had been disclosed previously but contained redactions. While many of those redactions were removed, not all were eliminated. The documents were uploaded to the National Archives website under the heading “JFK Assassination Records — 2025 Documents Release.”

Upon reviewing these materials, The Post discovered the Social Security numbers, birthplaces, and birth dates of over 100 members of the Senate Church Committee, which was formed in 1975 to investigate misconduct by U.S. intelligence agencies. Additionally, The Post identified more than 100 Social Security numbers belonging to staffers of the House Select Committee on Assassinations, which examined Kennedy’s killing. Many of the affected individuals are still alive. The Department of Justice declined to comment on Wednesday night, while the National Archives did not respond to a request for clarification.

Legal experts say the exposure of such information raises concerns under the Privacy Act of 1974.

“A Social Security number is essentially the key to a person’s entire identity,” said Mary Ellen Callahan, former chief privacy officer at the Department of Homeland Security. “This is a clear violation of privacy laws.”

Several individuals whose personal data was compromised went on to hold high-ranking positions in Washington, including a former assistant secretary of state, a former U.S. ambassador, intelligence analysts, State Department employees, and prominent attorneys.

When announcing the document release on Tuesday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated that approximately 80,000 pages were “previously classified records that will now be made available without redactions.”

“It’s shocking that our personal information has been exposed like this. Someone made a serious mistake,” said Loch Johnson, a retired intelligence specialist and professor emeritus at the University of Georgia. “I just hope they were more careful with covert operatives in these files.”

Mark Zaid, a national security lawyer who advocated for the public release of JFK documents, called the exposure of private details “extremely irresponsible.”

“In many of these documents, the only thing that was being withheld for the past two decades was someone’s Social Security number,” Zaid explained. “This creates a major security risk for these individuals, who could now be victims of doxxing.”

DiGenova said he was unaware that his name, Social Security number, and birth details were included in the JFK files until a reporter from The Post contacted him while he was grocery shopping.

“It makes sense that my name appears, given my work in the 1970s investigating intelligence abuses,” he said. “But revealing private details like this—it's security 101 to redact such things.”

“That period was an extraordinary time,” diGenova recalled. “One of our team’s lawyers tracked down the girlfriend of a mafia figure rumored to be romantically involved with JFK. He found her in Nevada or Arizona but got chased away by her husband. We also examined plots to assassinate Castro and the role of CIA assets. It was incredible work.”

DiGenova argued that the government should cover protection costs for those affected, similar to how corporations compensate customers after data breaches.

At its height, the Church Committee employed around 150 staff members. According to Senate records, the committee conducted 126 hearings, interviewed more than 800 witnesses, and reviewed 110,000 documents. Their investigations uncovered misconduct by several federal agencies, including the CIA, FBI, IRS, and NSA.

In the unredacted files, former Church Committee employees’ names and sensitive information appear neatly typed in columns, indicating which individuals were granted “access to classified materials up to and including TOP SECRET.”

“This was post-Watergate and Nixon,” said a former Senate staffer who requested anonymity to avoid becoming a target of identity fraud. “The whole point was to reveal secret and illegal activities.”

That former staffer, who later worked at the State Department, expressed outrage over the risks of financial fraud and identity theft. “It’s infuriating to know that this administration is handling such sensitive materials with zero regard for the people affected,” she said.

Three other former Church Committee members said that after learning from The Post about the exposure of their Social Security numbers, they had contacted their banks to freeze accounts and monitor transactions. One individual was considering legal action against the National Archives.

“It feels like the damage is done, but we need to consult some attorneys,” one of them remarked.

Christopher Pyle, a former Army officer who exposed military intelligence abuses, testified before Congress and later landed on Nixon’s infamous “enemies list.” Pyle only learned about the breach when a Post journalist reached him by phone on Wednesday.

“I’m stunned that my information was included in the release,” he said. “Good Lord, government incompetence at its finest.”

Pyle expressed concern over the consequences for those who fought in the 1970s to expose government wrongdoing. “Why did they even have this information on the Church Committee?” he asked. “I’d love to know that.”

After filing for divorce and leaving with her lover, Quan Xiao-Tue never expected that the man would betray her. He had already moved in with a new girlfriend and was looking for a way to get rid of her.

On the morning of October 20, 2015, fishermen in La Jiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, accidentally discovered the dismembered body of a woman in the Huangshui River. The victim was missing her head and limbs.

After analysis, the police believed that the perpetrator was likely someone who knew the victim, and the body was dismembered to conceal her identity. However, the water had washed away most traces of evidence.

Forensic experts estimated the victim to be around 35 years old, having died from asphyxiation two days earlier. The precise cuts suggested that the suspect had skills related to butchery.

The location where the body was found was not the crime scene. While searching for clues, investigators discovered a bloodstained sack along with torn medical documents. The records came from La Jiang County People's Hospital and belonged to a patient named Liu Min. However, upon investigation, all women named Liu Min in the area were alive.

Identifying the victim proved difficult, but on October 25, 2015, a breakthrough came with a detailed forensic report. The medical examiner found traces of male DNA on the victim’s body. When cross-referenced with the database, it matched a man named Liu Kai, who had a prior record for disorderly conduct.

Police investigated and discovered that Kai had reported his wife missing on October 19. The missing woman was Quan Xiao-Tue, a 35-year-old waitress at a hotpot restaurant.

Further inquiries revealed that Xiao-Tue and Kai’s marriage had been struggling. Authorities found a farewell letter supposedly written by Xiao-Tue, but the handwriting did not match hers. When questioned, Kai mentioned another man—Yang Kun, a colleague of Xiao-Tue.

Police suspected that jealousy could have been a motive and continued their investigation. They discovered that on the afternoon of October 18, Xiao-Tue used the restaurant’s landline to call Kun before disappearing.

Kun, a chef, frequently handled knives. Surveillance footage revealed that on the night of October 18, he rode his motorcycle to the area near where the body was found. During questioning, he appeared nervous but denied involvement. However, police discovered traces of Xiao-Tue’s blood in his bathroom.

Cornered by evidence, Kun confessed to the crime.

Xiao-Tue had wanted a divorce to be with Kun, but he had tried to cut ties with her. On the afternoon of October 18, she visited his home and discovered evidence of another woman, realizing she had been deceived. She demanded 40,000 yuan in exchange for her silence.

Kun, unable to meet her demand, acted out in rage and strangled Xiao-Tue. To cover up the crime, he dismembered her body and dumped the remains in the river.

On October 29, 2015, following Kun’s confession, police recovered Xiao-Tue’s missing head and limbs.

On November 15, 2016, the court sentenced Yang Kun to death for murder.

Kyle Clifford refused to accept the breakup and desperately tried to hold on by bombarding Louise Hunt with messages. When his attempts failed, he devised a revenge plan targeting her entire family.

The 18-month relationship between 25-year-old Louise and 26-year-old former security guard Kyle ended on June 26, 2024.

Louise messaged Kyle: "I feel like our relationship has broken down, and I can't ignore my feelings or what I've noticed over the past year."

A few days earlier, they had attended a wedding, which became the "catalyst" for the breakup. Kyle made degrading comments about Louise and insinuated he had slept with some of the guests.

On June 23, 2024, after returning from the wedding, Louise told Kyle she was exhausted by their relationship. "We need to talk," she said, prompting an angry reaction from Kyle.

They met on June 24 for a walk while Louise's sister, 28-year-old Hannah Hunt, waited nearby. Hannah texted her boyfriend, saying Kyle had started crying, leaving Louise confused. After considering things for a few days, Louise sent a breakup message. Kyle replied, "Thanks for the clarity so we can both begin the healing process."

Family and friends supported Louise's decision, believing she should have left earlier. A friend recalled Louise confiding in them about Kyle's aggressive, rude behavior and offensive comments about women. Hannah described him as "disrespectful, arrogant, and crude."

Kyle had also been secretly involved with two other women behind Louise's back, one of whom he continued seeing while trying to reconcile with Louise.

After the breakup, Kyle continued sending messages, but Louise ignored them.

Louise wrote a note on her phone titled "When You're Sad, Read This," listing reasons for the breakup, including Kyle's racist and derogatory language.

"I Can’t Live Without Her"

Kyle became furious when Louise refused to take him back. As his resentment toward her and her family grew, he meticulously planned his attack.

Surveillance footage showed him gathering supplies over two weeks.

On June 28, 2024, he was seen at a shop in Enfield, London, purchasing a 30-meter rope for £14.75. On June 30, he searched online for crossbows and bought one with six arrows for £357 on July 1. He also contacted his brother Bradley, who was serving a life sentence for murder, asking about acquiring weapons.

On July 4, Kyle bought duct tape and gasoline to destroy evidence. Two days later, he spent £89 on a high-quality meat cleaver. He also attempted to order an air rifle, but it hadn’t arrived by the time of the attack.

Kyle then wrote a note to his family, saying he "didn't want to live without her."

Terrifying Screams

At 1:40 PM on July 9, 2024, Kyle parked near Louise's house in Bushey, Hertfordshire, checking for cars outside.

He searched for horse racing events to determine if Louise’s father, John Hunt—a Sky Sports and BBC Radio 5 Live commentator—was home.

At 2:32 PM, Kyle rang the doorbell, carrying a knife in his backpack. He lied to Louise’s mother, 61-year-old Carol Hunt, saying he wanted to return some belongings. When she let him in, he attacked her despite her desperate screams.

Doorbell camera footage recorded the confrontation and sounds from inside the house.

Kyle moved Carol’s body to another room, covering it with blankets. At 3:07 PM, he returned to his car to retrieve the crossbow, concealing it under a blanket. Meanwhile, Louise was working at a dog grooming salon in the back of the house. Customers entered through a side gate.

Kyle waited until Louise came inside at 4:11 PM. Soon after, faint screams were heard. The footage captured piercing shrieks, a man shouting, and loud banging noises until 4:26 PM.

Kyle restrained Louise, tying her wrists and ankles and gagging her with duct tape. At some point, he allegedly raped her.

At 5:31 PM, he went to the outbuilding to take Louise’s phone, checking her recent contacts and Instagram activity. At 5:52 PM, he impersonated Louise, texting John to ask when he would be home. He also searched online for "Does unplugging a smoke detector fully disable it?" With two empty gasoline cans in his car, he was allegedly planning to set the house on fire.

Kyle left through the back garden at 6:20 PM and returned at 6:50 PM, drawing the curtains. The doorbell camera then recorded a loud whizzing sound. Prosecutors stated, "That was the crossbow firing into Louise’s back."

Moments later, Hannah entered the house, calling out for their mother. When she got no response, she shouted, "What the hell, Kyle? What’s wrong with you?" At 6:52 PM, she texted her boyfriend, Alex Klein, urging him to call the police, before Kyle silenced her phone.

Two minutes later, another whizzing sound was heard—Kyle had shot Hannah with the crossbow before wrapping it in a blanket and fleeing.

Audio recordings captured Hannah discovering her mother and sister’s bodies at 6:57 PM. She screamed, "Mom! Louise! Oh God, no!" Despite her severe injuries, Hannah used Carol’s phone to call 999 at 6:57 PM, reporting that Kyle had attacked them.

Armed police arrived at 7:10 PM with paramedics. Hannah was found collapsed at the entrance, barely alive, but resuscitation efforts failed. Louise was found bound next to her mother’s body.

"An Utter Coward"

Police issued a public alert, warning that Kyle was armed and dangerous.

After fleeing, Kyle drove toward his home but stopped at a cemetery near Enfield at 7:32 PM. He tied a noose to a tree branch, but both the rope and branch were too weak for a hanging attempt.

After a 22-hour manhunt, police found him at the cemetery at 6 PM on July 10. As armed officers and police dogs closed in, Kyle shot himself in the chest with the crossbow, causing paralysis from the waist down.

Kyle was arrested on the evening of July 11 for three counts of murder but remained in the hospital, unable to be interrogated due to his injuries. On September 17, additional charges of false imprisonment, rape, and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon were filed against him.

During his first police interview on September 16, 2024, Kyle said, "I'm sorry. What I did was cruel." Police released footage showing him sobbing in a wheelchair when asked about his note to his family. Officers noted that Kyle only displayed emotions when discussing himself, failing to acknowledge the suffering of his victims and others.

Kyle’s admiration for controversial influencer Andrew Tate—known for misogynistic remarks—was one of the key reasons Louise ended the relationship. She was deeply disturbed when Kyle played a video of Tate harming an animal while laughing with friends.

Investigators found multiple Tate videos on Kyle’s phone after the attack. He had watched some just hours before the murders, possibly influenced by "violent misogynistic rhetoric" from toxic influencers, according to police.

At his December 19, 2024 trial, Kyle initially pleaded not guilty.

On January 22, 2025, he admitted to three counts of murder, false imprisonment, and possessing offensive weapons but denied raping Louise.

Forensic evidence indicated sexual assault, but his defense claimed the couple had consensual sex on June 23, 2024. Prosecutors dismissed this as absurd since Louise had already decided to end the relationship.

Kyle was convicted of rape. The judge described him as "a jealous, self-pitying man with utter contempt for women."

On March 11, he was sentenced to life without parole. He refused to attend both his trial and sentencing, which was deemed "an act of absolute cowardice."

Following the case, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called the murders "horrific" and pledged to review crossbow laws to prevent similar attacks.

In mid-March 2025, a rare weather phenomenon occurred on Mount Tà Xùa in Bản Công commune, Trạm Tấu district, Yên Bái province, Vietnam, as frost appeared, covering trees and grasslands.
Frost appeared on the summit of Tà Xùa in Yên Bái, Vietnam, in mid-March.

The frost began forming on the night of March 18 on Mount Tà Xùa, which stands over 2,800 meters above sea level, and persisted until the morning of March 19. The outdoor temperature dropped to 0°C, creating conditions for frost to blanket branches and grasslands, resulting in a characteristic winter landscape.

Mr. Đào Viết Nghiêm, Chairman of the Bản Công Commune People's Committee, stated that annually, Tà Xùa typically experiences frost during the main winter months, such as December and January, or at most in February. This is the first time residents have witnessed frost forming in March, surprising and delighting many.

The cause of this phenomenon is attributed to the northern region being affected by a reinforcing cold air mass. On the morning of March 19, the lowest temperatures were recorded in Sa Pa (Lào Cai) and Pha Đin (Điện Biên) at 5°C; Sìn Hồ (Lai Châu) and Đồng Văn (Hà Giang) at 6°C; Mù Cang Chải (Yên Bái) nearly 10°C; and Hanoi 16°C. According to the rule, for every 100 meters increase in altitude, the temperature decreases by approximately 0.6°C, explaining the freezing temperatures at the summit of Tà Xùa.

This is the second time in 2025 that frost has appeared on Mount Tà Xùa. Previously, this phenomenon was recorded on January 11.

The occurrence of frost at this time not only creates a unique landscape but also attracts the attention of many nature enthusiasts and tourists seeking to experience this special weather phenomenon. However, residents and visitors should be mindful of the harsh weather conditions to ensure safety when visiting this area.

Illinois Democrat state representative Bob Morgan claimed that middle school girls who alleged they were forced to change in a locker room with a transgender student were not telling the truth about the incident.

The issue was raised during an Illinois General Assembly session on Tuesday after Deerfield resident Nicole Georgas filed a federal civil rights complaint. Georgas had previously exposed the allegations during a school board meeting last week.

Morgan, who represents Deerfield, responded when Republican state representative Adam Neimerg brought up Georgas' claims. In his statement, Morgan criticized Neimerg for even discussing the matter while commending the way the community and schools handled the situation. He called the claims "a lie."

"I'm incredibly proud of my community, which stood up to protect those who need support, ensuring that we have outstanding schools—because we do, by the way—alongside amazing families and a strong, united neighborhood addressing this issue. Because it's false!" Morgan declared.

"So next time a representative wants to bring up other districts, I get that he may feel embarrassed—and, honestly, he probably should—but instead of standing here wasting our time on this, maybe focus on issues in your own district first."

Morgan’s remarks prompted a strong response from Georgas on X.

"Really, [Rep. Morgan?] Was your daughter in that locker room? Because mine was! How dare you accuse them of lying? You are disgusting [and] despicable, and I hope one day I get to play the audio for you!" Georgas wrote.

According to her complaint filed with the Justice Department, Georgas accused school officials of trying to force her 13-year-old daughter to change clothes in front of a transgender student in the girls’ locker room last month. She revealed the complaint during a Board of Education meeting for Deerfield Public School District 109, claiming her daughter had refused to change into her gym uniform because a biological male was present.

"The girls want their locker rooms and bathrooms back. They want privacy. That’s why I’m here tonight. My 13-year-old daughter's well-being, mental health, and personal space are at risk," Georgas stated during Thursday’s board meeting.

She further explained that her daughter was "frightened" and "very upset" on February 5 when she saw a transgender student using the girls’ bathroom at the same time.

"When she questioned it, administrators told her that the student was allowed to use the girls' bathroom and locker room because they now identify as female," Georgas said.

The situation escalated when her daughter and classmates continued refusing to change for gym class due to the transgender student's presence. According to Georgas, school officials later intervened and insisted the girls change into their uniforms.

"Joanna Ford, [Assistant Principal] Cathy Van Treese, and multiple teachers entered the girls’ locker room and told them to change. This continued all week," Georgas claimed, adding that her daughter still "refused to comply."

She then took her concerns to the school administration, arguing that the policy violated former President Donald Trump’s "Keeping Men out of Women's Sports" executive order. However, she was informed that legal counsel had advised the district that the student had the right to use both the girls’ bathroom and locker room.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 insisted that no student is forced to change in front of others and that school policies align with state law.

"District 109 is dedicated to fostering a learning environment where all students and staff are treated with dignity and respect. Our policies and procedures, including locker room usage, comply with Illinois state law, the Illinois School Code, and guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). No student is required to change in front of peers during physical education. Every middle school student has the option to change in a private area if they prefer," the school’s statement read.
